Everett's oldest running bar

Cold beer, good games, and a stool that's been waiting for you since before your grandfather's time.

Everett's oldest running bar

Bars come and go. The Fireplace has stayed lit since 1948 — through booms, busts, and everything Everett has thrown at it. No gimmicks, no rebrand, no craft-cocktail pivot. Just a proper neighborhood dive that knows exactly what it is.

House rules are simple: no politics or religion at the bar, everybody gets a fair pour, and everyone's welcome — and we mean everyone.

Come for a beer. Stay for the next 85 years.

Still in the family

The family behind the bar today takes over — and keeps the neon lit.

It first shows up as the Fireplace Tavern in the 1948 city directory — and the name's been over the door ever since.

House champions

Bragging rights at The Fireplace are earned the hard way — over a pot of chili or a round of golf. These names are screwed into the wall in brass. Immortalized. Insufferable about it.
